Everything you need to know

Frequently Asked
Questions

Clear answers before your first class, visit, or membership sign-up. If you can’t find what you need, message us on WhatsApp.

01 · Getting started

Your first class

Can I start without experience?

Yes. Many people start with no previous Jiu-Jitsu experience. We’ll guide you to the right class, and you can train at your own pace from day one.

Is the trial class free?

Yes—for Barcelona residents who are considering joining. Just bring your DNI or NIE when you arrive. If you’re visiting, check out our visitor passes.

What happens in my first class?

Arrive 10–15 minutes early. We’ll show you around, including the changing rooms, and explain mat etiquette. You’ll then train with a partner suited to your experience. There’s no pressure to spar on your first day.

Can I watch a class before trying?

Of course. Message us and we’ll arrange a visit so you can experience the atmosphere and meet the team before stepping onto the mats.

02 · Training

On the mat

What should I wear?

For No-Gi, wear a rashguard or sports T-shirt and shorts without zips or pockets. Bring flip-flops for off the mat, plus a towel and clean clothes for after training. For Gi classes, ask us beforehand what you’ll need.

Are there Gi and wrestling classes?

Yes. Our timetable includes No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu, one Gi class each week, and wrestling sessions. Check the updated schedule for each session.

Is there a risk of injury?

Safety comes first. We teach technique and control before increasing intensity, and we look after our training partners. If you have an injury or medical condition, speak to your doctor first and let us know when you arrive so we can adapt your training.

Do I have to compete?

No. You can train for fitness, confidence, fun, or competition. If you want to compete, you’ll find teammates and coaches ready to help. If not, you belong here just as much.

03 · Visiting

Training while you’re in Barcelona

I’m visiting Barcelona. Can I train?

Yes. We offer 1-day, 7-day, and 30-day passes. Choose the one that matches your stay and book on the Visitors page.

Where is the gym, and how do I get there?

We are at Carrer de Sant Pere Màrtir 37, in Gràcia. Diagonal (L3/L5) is a few minutes’ walk away, and bus 24 stops nearby. For more information, see the FAQ; for directions, use the direct Google Maps route on our Contact page.

Is there parking nearby?

There is street parking nearby, so we recommend allowing extra time. If you’re coming from outside Barcelona, public transport is usually the most convenient option.

04 · The club

Beyond the class

Are there classes for kids?

Yes. Little Monsters is our programme for kids aged 6 and over: four classes a week—two Gi and two No-Gi—in a safe, fun, and educational environment. See full details on the Kids page.

What facilities do you have?

We have free changing rooms, showers, coffee, and filtered water. You can also use the club’s Wi-Fi while you wait or work from the reception area.

How do memberships work?

We offer memberships for 1, 2, or 3 classes per week, plus an unlimited option. All monthly memberships have a one-time €60 registration fee. There is no minimum term, and you can cancel with 3 days’ notice. See full details on the Memberships page.
